At a minimum, the "admin" choice in the main menu will allow you to edit your preferences, and export artists to a file or the screen. More on exporting can be found here. Depending on your access permissions (i.e. the type of user your are), the admin menu may offer additional features, and corresponding help.

Your preferences define how the interface appears to you. You can alter any one of three things: the GUI, the IMAGES, and the STYLESHEET. The first affects the physical arrangement of everything on the screen - what appears, and where it appears. The second (images) defines which set of images (those handy little icons) appear on your screen. The third option (stylesheet) affects the color, font and point size of all the text you see.

You can mix and match guis, images and stylesheets to your heart's content. Same-name choices are designed to work with each other. It's possible to choose a combination that will be very difficult to see on the screen.

Creating new images, stylesheets or guis is very easy - simply copy the images folder, template folder, or stylesheet in question to the same location with a new name, and that new choice will appear in the preferences menu for all users. If you do create new options, be aware that the names of things are very important - the image names must not change (just the images themselves). Likewise, the style sheet variable names must not change - only the actual colors. And the names of the templates, as well as the variable names can't change - only the HTML itself. This guarantees that any set of images, gui, or stylesheet will work with all other interfaces.
