features and usage
Using calliope is fairly straightforward. In general, clicking on something, such as an album, or artist, or song, etc. will show you more information about that album / artist / song. Clicking on a song will play the song, or show you more details about the song, depending on the context. There are a variety of additional features which are generally identified by one of the icons. The icons change from one set of images to another (via admin->preferences), but perform the same function in all cases. Some features described in the help pages may have been turned off by your administrator, so if you see a feature described but can't find it in any of the menus, talk to your admin. There are also two "context modes": editing, and lists. When you select a list from the lists menu, or when you click on edit from the main menu, those menu choices become highlighted (usually they are surrounded by box in the main menu). More on how to use these modes in the relevant help pages. For visual formatting purposes, long song titles or album titles may be truncated
( appearing with trailing '...' ). To see the entire title, click on the information
icon ( Albums, Artists, Dates, Genres, Links, Songs, and Types of artists are color coded for easy identification.
