help - list management
You can build multiple play lists to track your favorite songs, or a particular style
of music, or a given mood. Lists can be played in order
( ), or played in a random order
( ), or you can randomly pick and play 3 songs
from a given list
( ). You can also
export
a list
( ) to an m3u file, and use that file as a play list
for an mp3 player, or to
burn a cd. Lists are owned
by their creator - only a list's owner can modify or delete that list. However,
anyone can play or export a list.
The one exception to all this is the trash list. Each channel has a list of songs
that have been "trashed." These songs will be excluded from all random play. Anyone
with permission can trash a song by clicking on the trash icon
( ). The trash icon appears next to a song
while it's playing, and on the song info page (available by clicking on a song in the queue, or
on the history page).
To create a new list, choose 'lists' from the top menu, then click on the new list icon
( ).
Enter a new list name and hit "create."
To enter list editing mode, choose that list from the "lists" menu (if you've just created a list, you
may need to click on "lists" again to show the new list). List editing is a context mode - the list
name will have a box surrounding it in the main navigation menu, with a close icon
( ) next to it. Clicking the close
icon will turn off editing mode for that list. Clicking the list name itself will bring up the list.
Once a list is active, clicking on the 'add to list icon'
( ) or the
'delete from list' icon
( ) will alter the list accordingly. These
icons will appear next to songs throughout the interface - on a search, next to songs on albums, and
in the queue. Click the icon to add / remove the
song from your list. Clicking on the list name in the main navigation menu or from the lists sub-menu
will bring up that list, and allow you to directly edit the list itself.
