This is one of the first pictures I took with my camera (they got a lot better -- especially after I rebuilt the camera). Of course, you can't make out anything, but that's me, and sitting on the right is David, a Scottish guy. We're on a boat bound for the southern coast of Senegal - it's an 18-hour ride on the ferry. I'm holding a small plastic bag, the kind you'd get at jewel, and David is holding up a small leather pouch I'd bought. These two packages and what I'm wearing are all I currently possess on the trip.
