Traveling in Spain
All of Andalusia (southern Spain) is covered by a green carpet of olive trees. Olive trees, olive trees, olive trees.

They harvest the olives by laying out nets, and shaking the olives off the trees. The guy on the left has a stick. The guy on the right has a gas-powered tree-shaker. Even so, the way to get olives is shake the tree. So, there's a handful of people who own the land and trees, and a huge and very poor group of people who shake trees.

And you can't eat fresh olives. I don't know what makes an olive an olive, but they don't taste right if you pick 'em off the tree, lemmee tell ya.
